Mike Nicometo provides expertise in logistics processes, cool supply chain management, project management, roadmap development & control, global team leadership, software prototyping and business development.

Mike is currently engaged in project specific consulting for international companies, covering a range of topics from ROI driven traceability, RFID driven inventory and temperature visibility, quality, logistics efficiency, business development and management strategy.

He has served as Director of Global IT/IS and Director of Development for Cool Chain Group AG (www.coolchaingroup.com), worked for Hellmann Perishable Logistics (www.hplgroup.com) as Global IT Manager, and for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as Global Manager of Roadmap, Support & CRM (www.hellmann.net). He has developed systems and processes for numerous companies involved in food import, export and wholesale brokering, with over 13 years of direct experience in the cool chain logistics field. Mike has presented at numerous workgroup presentations for key events in Europe and US, as well as at universities, such as the University of Florida, MIT and St. Gallen University in Switzerland.

Mike has managed and participated in numerous RFID and ADC projects & pilots. He has worked closely with the University of Florida (Dr. Jean Pierre Emond), the University of Bremen (Reiner Jedermann, Dipl. Eng.), Cool Chain Association (in cooperation with IATA/Cargo 2000), and numerous other groups in monitoring the cool chain with automated data collection devices for trace, track, temperature and other key measurement/control points.

Prior to his involvement in logistics, Mike developed a wide array of experience in business, in areas such as: Assistant Project Superintendent decommissioning Enrico Fermi I, successful startup of Michigan Laborers Training Program (first instructor, develop program), licensed residential builder/own business in Michigan, successful retail business owner/operator, custom software development, consulting for Copper Range copper mine, and providing key management seminars to select audiences.

Mike attended the State University of New York, as well as the University of Toledo in Ohio for business and construction. He has completed numerous programming, management and IT/IS specific courses in a continuing education process over time.
